The Makers’ Cafe helps you reach a new market of people who are interested in regular creative exploration, not just one-off activities.

Our members have already committed to spending time and money on creative Experiences. That means they are more likely to try something new, book repeatedly, and discover studios and Experiences they may not have found through normal search, social media, or direct advertising.

The aim is not to replace your direct bookings. The aim is to help you fill places that may otherwise remain empty, introduce your work to new audiences, and make it easier for curious participants to discover you as part of a wider creative community.

There is no upfront fee to join and no financial risk to list. You stay in control of which Experiences you offer, when they happen, how many places are available, and whether the platform works for your business.

A Credit is the booking unit of The Makers’ Cafe.

Participants use Credits to book Experiences instead of paying separately for each workshop, course, or class in euros.

An Experience is what we call a workshop, course, class, session, or other creative offer listed on the platform.

You don’t pay anything upfront. It is free to join and free to list on The Makers’ Cafe.

Alle Partner erhalten eine feste Auszahlung von 11 € pro Credit für jede gebuchte Experience, vor einer im Voraus kommunizierten Gebühr für den jeweiligen Auszahlungsweg. Nach der aktuellen Standard-Auszahlungspolitik erhältst du 11 € pro Credit, der für deine Experience verwendet wird, vor einer im Voraus kommunizierten Gebühr für den jeweiligen Auszahlungsweg.

Beispiel: Eine 3-Credit-Experience zahlt 33 € vor einer eventuell anwendbaren Auszahlungsweg-Gebühr. Eine 4-Credit-Experience zahlt 44 €. Eine 6-Credit-Experience zahlt 66 €.

You set your normal market price. We assign the Credit price by dividing that market price by €12.25 and rounding down to the nearest whole Credit. Paid Experiences must be at least 1 Credit and may be subject to a maximum Credit cap configured by the Platform.

For example, a €40 Experience becomes: €40 ÷ €12.25 = 3.26, rounded down to 3 Credits.

We round down so our membership holders never spend a higher Credit value than the public market price of the Experience. This protects participant trust. (In rare cases, holders of the Creative Passport may have the option to slightly ‘overpay’ on certain Experiences, but since the Credits they hold don’t expire, it is unlikely they would opt to do so).

Before your Experience is listed, you can see the Credit price it will be offered at. You can then decide whether to list the Experience at that Credit price, adapt the Experience so it fits a higher Credit tier, or choose not to list it.

While we have capacity to do so, we are happy to help create and manage listings on your behalf. You provide the key information: what the Experience is, when it takes place, how many places are available, where it happens, the market price, and anything participants need to know in advance.

We handle the listing and booking flow through the platform. You stay in control of your availability, capacity, and market price.

Yes. You stay in control of your capacity, availability, and which Experiences you list on The Makers’ Cafe.

If something changes, please let us know as early as possible, ideally at least 24 hours in advance, so we can inform participants and return their Credits where needed.

If a participant does not attend and does not cancel at least 24 hours in advance, the Credits used for that booking are forfeited.

In diesem Fall werden dir 60 % der Standard-Partnerauszahlung für diese Buchung im nächsten Auszahlungszyklus gezahlt, vor einer eventuell anwendbaren und im Voraus kommunizierten Auszahlungsweg-Gebühr.
