The Makers' Cafe is a membership platform for creative experiences in Vienna. You use Credits to book pottery workshops, painting evenings, dance classes, cooking sessions, music jams, and other creative Experiences from local makers and studios.

The Founders’ Offer gives 2 free Credits to the first 50 users who click “claim now” and complete the sign-up flow. These Credits are valid for 1 month after they are granted.

Each Experience shows its Credit price before you book. You can receive Credits through a monthly membership, buy extra Credits through a Monthly Credit Add-On if you are an active member, or buy a Creative Passport. You can have a membership and a Creative Passport at the same time, and your balance can include different Credit types.

Discovery Membership gives you 4 Credits each month for €49/month. Unused membership Credits roll over while your membership is active, up to a maximum balance of 8 Credits. Open Studio Membership gives you 10 Credits each month for €110/month. Unused membership Credits roll over while your membership is active, up to a maximum balance of 16 Credits. Both memberships renew monthly and can be cancelled anytime.

Active members may buy one Monthly Credit Add-On per active subscription billing period. You are an active member if you are subscribed to either the Discovery or Open Studio Membership and your subscription is still within its paid period. Discovery members may buy 4 extra Credits for €44. Open Studio members may buy 8 extra Credits for €80. Add-on Credits are added to your balance immediately, do not count toward your monthly rollover cap, and are valid for 30 days after purchase while your membership remains active. During that same 30-day period, the add-on also lets you book up to 2 seats per Experience, subject to availability. If your membership ends before the 30-day period is over, unused add-on Credits expire together with your membership Credits.

The Creative Passport is a one-time purchase of 10 Credits for €129. It does not renew, does not expire, and you may buy as many Creative Passports as you like. You can buy it on its own or alongside a membership.

If or when we offer membership tier changes, the rollover cap will change to the cap for your new tier from the date the change takes effect. If you move to a higher tier, your existing membership Credit balance will remain available while your membership stays active, and the higher rollover cap will apply from the date the change takes effect. If you move to a lower tier, the lower rollover cap will apply from the date the change takes effect. If your membership Credit balance is above the new cap at that time, any membership Credits above the new cap may expire.

If you book an Experience and do not attend without cancelling at least 24 hours in advance, the Credit(s) used for that booking are forfeited. No additional charge is made to your payment method. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the Experience, valid Credits are returned to the relevant Credit balance. Expired membership, add-on, or promotional Credits are not returned.

If you choose a paid membership, your card is charged when you subscribe and then monthly until you cancel. If you buy a Monthly Credit Add-On or Creative Passport, your card is charged immediately at the time of purchase. Founders’ Offer free Credits do not require payment.

If you cancel a paid offer within the first 14 days of your card being charged and have not used any Credits from that purchase, you are entitled to a full refund. If you have used Credits during this period, a proportional refund will be issued based on the paid Credits consumed.

Yes, anytime. No lock-in. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Unused membership Credits expire at the end of your current billing period. Unused Monthly Credit Add-On Credits expire when your membership ends, or 30 days after purchase, whichever comes first. Confirmed bookings made before your membership ends remain valid if the Experience takes place within 30 days after your membership ends. If the Credits used for a confirmed booking would nonetheless expire before the Experience takes place, even with this 30 day grace period, and you have another Credit type on balance (e.g. Creative Passport credits), we will automatically use another valid Credit type from your balance to keep the booking active. We will show or send notice where practical, especially before voluntary cancellation or changes that affect existing bookings.
